About NATYANKURA NAMAMI

Natyankura Namami Centre of Arts thrives to uphold and upbring the cultural values among future generations through structured teaching of "Shastra" (Theory) and "Prayoga" (Practicals)" including vyayama abhayasa (exercises).

Keeping in tradition with bani (Thanjavur Bani or style), every student is given personal attention to nurture the art and motivate them to pursue the art going further.

The mission of the school is to impart this art form and also introduce students to other forms of classical dance enhancing their capability to understand the rich cultural heritage of India. The school is also involved in a unique way of teaching Bharatnatyam art form wherein training will help in improving child's cognitive skill as well as increasing curiosity among them to know more about Indian Art and culture. This will instill/ inscribe a sense of pride and confidence in them to be better dancers/ artists in coming generations.

The school's aim is to bring spiritual awareness and also acknowledge devotion to Lord connecting mind and body through learning this art form.

about the founder

Smt. Radhika Kulkarni is disciple of Guru Sreeja Renganath (Disciple of Dr. Vyjayanthimala Bali- Thanjavur Bani) and has been teaching in Perth, Australia for the past 2years. She has been learning Kuchipudi dance form from Master Palani Sivakumar, Chennai (disciple of Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam) and Odissi from Anita Babu- Odissi Natya shala.

She has completed "Natyashastra Overview" course - Shastra Kalike from Dr. B N Manorama - Kannada Researcher & Scholar and founder of Noopura Bhramari trust, Mangalore and currently undergoing Natyashastra Karanas - Advanced study.

She has been currently learning Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam's Karanas with Dr. Jayashree Rajagopalan - Nrithyodaya Mumbai for the past 2 years.
